Last week, Professor of Biomedical Nanotechnology at UCL and Director of i-sense, Professor Rachel McKendry, and Research Director for Biomedical Materials at Imperial and i-sense Deputy Director, Professor Molly Stevens, visited our collaborators at the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI).
During their visit, Professors McKendry and Stevens met with AHRI Research Nursing Manager, Siphephelo Dlamini (pictured centre left), and Clinic Research Assistant, Xolisile Mkhwanazi (pictured far right), at the Somkhele clinic in KwaZulu-Natal as part of their collaboration to build a digital health ‘test bed’ in the heart of the HIV epidemic.
The work builds off the current work of the mAfrica collaboration that is using mobile technologies to test and treat those hardest hit by HIV.
