Flagship 2 aims to create an early-warning system for flu, linking web and mobile phone-connected diagnostic data.

Google and Twitter flu trends for the UK will be developed with geographically-linked data visualization. In parallel, this Flagship will develop a prototype mobile diagnostics for influenza, based on a range of technologies including surface acoustic wave sensors, biobarcodes and quantum dots.
