Dr Eleni Nastouli is the Lead Consultant in Virology at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Eleni’s clinical work focuses on viral hepatitis, HIV and severe cases of influenza. She is the principal investigator in the NSC HBV in pregnancy study and provides virological advice to the MRC/UCL Clinical Trials Unit and PENTAid that run HIV clinical trials in adults and children. Eleni’s clinical and laboratory research interests include development of novel diagnostics and she collaborates with the LCN developing diagnostics with wireless connectivity. Eleni is a co-investigator in the ICONIC study introducing innovative methodologies in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute
